Compliance with regulations? Benincà is ready!

On 9 May 2025, a new European regulation will enter into force "which lays down eco-design requirements for off mode, standby mode, and networked standby energy consumption of electrical and electronic household and office equipment in accordance with Regulation 2023/826 of the European Parliament and  the Council".

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?  The obligation for gates motors manufacturers to start the conversion of the systems and technologies applied to automations making them more energy efficient. Thanks to the introduction of the first ESA SYSTEM, Benincà first addressed this project challenge back in 2007, looking ahead and reflecting responsibly on the environmental impact of its systems. Since then we have never stopped and our range of automations for gates and garage doors includes two energy saving solutions: ESA+ technology and the use of electronic switched-mode power supply which correctly comply with the new Regulation.

  • ESA+ TECHNOLOGY
This system enables the automation to save energy, reducing consumption when the motor is on standby mode.

The system is available in more than 16 models for residential and condominium automation, guaranteeing stand-by absorption values of less than 0.8 W, in compliance with European regulations.

  • ELECTRONIC SWITCHING POWER SUPPLIES
The use of electronic switching power supply systems instead of a traditional linear power supply (e.g. transformer) results in energy savings with greater efficiency and less power dissipation, most of which is thermal, when the automation is in standby mode. What's more, thanks to intelligent management of connected peripherals and mains electricity, this solution protects the automation system by extending the life of electronic components and better managing motor operation.
